Thriving relationships involve several factors. Communication is the cornerstone. Sometimes we find ourselves in the midst of relational struggle and conflict. We offer assistance in guiding leaders and teams toward greater health in communication.

Personal

Your focus can determine a lot about your ability to succeed in communication. Gaining  skills in communication is crucial to every relationship. Navigating the emotions and hurt from existing conflict can be challenging as well.

Leadership

Communication among leadership is multi-layered. Our programs work with individual leaders and groups to formulate and provide resources and tools for creating healthy communication and navigating challenges when they arise.

Organizational

We guide organization membership through communication skill development conciliation and reconciliation. The Scriptures will guide and train us toward healthy communication and prevention of fracturing otherwise great groups.

Here are the 4 steps we follow when working with a group presently facing challenges and conflict.

Step 1 – Consultation

This meeting is the examination of core issues and determining what steps specifically need to be taken to work toward ceasing on-going hurt and beginning a road to healing, forgiveness. The goal is spiritual heath for all leadership, trust and effectiveness.

  • A needs assessment and scope and work will be determined.
  • A timeline and budget will be discussed after this consultation.
  • A written commitment to move forward and agreements presented after this meeting and signed before moving to next steps.

Step 2 – Conciliation

Through a series of steps defined by the nature and magnitude of the challenges faced, a set of meetings will be established and procedures outlined to provide a structure that is biblical and practical to meet the needs of the situation.

  • The pace of these meetings will be based on the nature and risks involved and issues at hand.
  • Other coaches/conciliators may be involved in this process depending on the needs.
  • Team members will be directly involved in this process and there will likely be reading and spiritual inventory work included and mandated as a part of the process.

Step 3 – Reconciliation

As the situation reveals itself, and all the individuals involved have worked through step 2, the path of healing and work toward rebuilding relationships and necessary decisions will be performed in this step.

  • Anticipate that everyone involved in the conflict will also follow through with reconciliation process. This may involve the entire organization and/or congregation in some cases.
  • Working through confession and repentance as it relates to any sins against God and each other.
  • Examination of active forgiveness and what the path of building trust and relationships.

Step 4 – Organizational Development & Leadership Support

Once the process of reconciliation has completed, the final phase is to determine a process for working with leaders and members on forming new paths for communication health and leadership development. Reinforcing skills obtained with coaching and training that give new tools and insights to the team to work together.

  • We will work within the structure of the church on any personnel issues resulting from this process.
  • Provide individual, group, team and even congregational level training to help improve communication and conflict management for the future. (Prevention and Process)
  • We work with leaders and teams in the church to promote continued growth and process for long-term success.
